Why I haven't posted...

Let's see. Here's the brief rundown:

Tuesday
7:00 - drive to Mount Vernon for pastoral conference
5:00 - Pastoral conference recesses: GeRue, Bowers, Rethwisch and I go to Applebees for dinner
6:00 - GeRue, Bowers and I run around Mount Vernon trying to find something to drink for later in the evening!
8:30 - Five handed pinochle! President Mueller, GeRue, Bowers, Rethwisch and Weedon. Much fun except for the first game - the President won that! The second game went the way they all should go: I won. : ) I decided GeRue must NOT be allowed to pick the wine for the evening again. ; )
11:30 - Off to bed!

Wednesday
7:30 - Breakfast at the Holiday Inn with Bowers, GeRue, Rethwisch
8:30 - Matins at the Pastoral Conference with Fr. Juhl helping us commemorate St. Francis and inviting us to glory in our own "stigmata" for the Lord; wrapped up with the LW sung litany.
9:15 - Off to Iuka to see Fr. Juhl's "treasure trove" of large crucifixes.
11:30 - Lunch in Fairview with Asburry, Landskroener, Bowers, GeRue, Maxwell and yours truly - and over lunch the news that Kathy L. is having surgery soon - God grant a successful one!
1:00 - Back home - emails and phone calls to catch up on.
4:00 - Off to pick up Bekah and take her to clarinet lessons.
6:00 - Home for dinner and opening some presents (someone's birthday)
7:00 - Bible Study and Compline
8:00 - Back to inlaws to help move and carry stuff.
10:00 - Home for some wine and puter time, and now to bed.

GeRue must have picked _good_ wine.

You won at pinochle? It's good that people are merciful to you on your birthday.

Laura and I just missed you at Applebees. We were in our hotel room (right next door) deciding where to go. Even called Juhl for any recommendations. Ended up at Applebees about 6 pm.
