Blame Doug and Debbi...

...they got me started on Wodehouse and I've been chuckling ever since. This site is a delight and should be clicked upon at least once a day.

Wodehouse is a long-time favorite of mine. I save his stories for periods of sadness or illness. They work wonders!

Anastasia,

I'm too greedy to save Wodehouse for a Jonah day. :)

Delightful. this one came up on the seventh or eight click...

"Not only were we scooped in and shanghaied to church twice on Sunday, regardless of age or sex, but on the Monday morning at eight o'clock - eight, mark you - there were family prayers in the dining room." Fate (1936)

Sounds like a good idea. This may be the Fincher family before long.

Mike,

I've not seen it - but I intend to search around and see if I can find some of those shows. I love the thought of watching Bertie suffer at the hands of ruthless Aunts and, of course, Jeeves!

I know what you mean, but you have to consider I've already read everything by Wodehouse four or five times, so I can afford NOW to save further re-reads for rainy days.

The stories of Mr. Mulliner are among my favorites, especially about his nephew Augustine, the curate.
