Oh, yeah,

she's still got it. Last night the family went to a concert down in Collinsville - the Collinsville Community Chorale. It was a presentation of all spirituals. Cindi had joined this group a couple months ago and has been working hard on the music. Singing is her passion - and she can really do some great stuff, but she's mostly poured herself into the singing in the parish. It just doesn't present the same sorts of opportunities and challenges. She felt like her voice was going downhill. So she decided she needed to do something more, and the Chorale was it. Each Monday evening she's been vanishing for a couple hours. Well did she ever surprise us!

Not only was the chorale OUTSTANDING, but Cindi had a solo on one of the more difficult parts I've ever heard her tackle, and of course she pulled it off flawlessly. And the place was absolutely packed. Now I know why! These guys are very worth hearing. I know I should have been paying more attention to the music, but I kept looking up there and thinking: she's the most beautiful woman in the world. Don't get me wrong - she's always beautiful. But when you drop her down into a musical setting like that, well, she simply shines. She radiates joy.
