What do you think about the book of Hebrews? We are reading that this week and I don't like it. I complained about it to a friend who is a retired Presbyterian pastor and he said he never read that book! I admire your piety and purity of heart, by the way. You are blessed.

Dear Olympiada,

I actually LOVE Hebrews - especially the 12th chapter. There are, of course, passages in it that I just don't understand, but by and large, I think it is unlocked by the Divine Liturgy.

Now, about piety and purity of heart - you are very kind, but trust me about this: I am not a pious person and my heart, sadly, is far, far from pure.

Pax!

Well we are reading the 11th chapter. I didn't know Lutheran pastors used the term Divine Liturgy, I thought that was an Orthodox term, but what do I know? Are you on the Liturgy-L list on Yahoo by any chance?
You are pious in my opinion based on your blog postings, which also indicates to me purity of heart. Even your photograph shows that.
