What's up for the Open House

Let's see. Cindi's prepared: ham and various crackers... sugar cookies... molasses cookies... peanut butter cookies... cheeses of various sorts (Havarti, pepper jack, colby-jack, muenster)... spiced nuts (thanks to Darlene - again!)... "Marianne Roarick's Candy"... salted and buttered baked pecans (another Marianne Roarick recipe!)... almonds... peanut butter/almond bark candy... chips and french onion dip... cheese ball... iced tea... wassail... rye bread and dill dip... peanuts and candies... veggie platter and ranch dip... garlic summer sausage... oh, I don't know what else. But you KNOW you want to eat some, so come on by!

Darian,

Wish you could be here! Hope you had a blessed Christmas there in the VA/NC borderlands!

Wassail?

Yabba Dabba Doo! What better for an Adkins house than a drink whose name means Be Healthy -- in Middle English, but hey.

Wish I could be there, maybe a Designated Eater could munch a few ham/cheese/crackers combos for me.

My munchies won't be nearly so diverse for the upcoming Holy Day of Obligation here in Nebraska, the Gator Bowl.

Pastor Weedon,

You'd love the weather we are having right now!! Today it was in the mid- to upper 60's!!

Christmas was nice, waiting for Tuesday to enjoy visiting with my brother and family in from Florida!

Hope you munched some Atkins friendly for those of us who couldn't get there for the open house.

Any pictures so we can at least have some idea of what we missed?

Darian,

Oh, that weather DOES sound good right now. :)

I'll see about getting some pics up tomorrow. We have a few that Lauren took, and I think Darlene had her camera clicking too.

Pastor Weedon,

My wife would agree with you, but I would love to see some snow fly!!

Thank you in advance for the pictures!! Enjoy your family during this Christmas Season!!

BTW, you may want to check out my blog for a Lutheran Quote from Horn about Christmas. I found it and thought it was appropriate!!
