Beautiful words. Thank you for pointing it out. "You just hold on to His Word and Sacrament. Do not forsake prayer."

Help me never to depend on the world or my righteousness.

yes, speaking of TDP, what do you make of Cyril saying that Christ has "the Law and the Prophets for His bodyguard"? (I didn't get my Cyril book until the summer, well after Transfiguration, so I missed that two years ago)

I think "bodyguard" should be heard most likely as "honor guard."

Hey, Father Weedon,

have You ever wondered why there's a real Orthodox presence (no Eucharistic pun intended), whether physical or just spiritual (again, no Eucharistic pun intended), even in Your little village of some 500 people? Hmm? >:) [I mean, I know I have]. Well, if You really want to find the answer to that, click here. (And don't say I didn't warn You).

Lucian,

Of course there's an Orthodox presence here: WE'RE here! :)

P.S.: the above goes for all other Lutheran pastors frequenting this blog as well, so I wouldn't ignore that warning, if I were You... -- just a thought.
