Yeah, so...

...I glance down the stairs when I call David to come up and take out the dog, and I notice something odd. A klondike bar in its wrapper sitting all alone on the bookcase at the bottom of the stairs. David strikes again. Only been there an hour and a half or so... he forgot he'd gotten it out. I love my David.

It better not have gotten sticky ice cream on MY books!

Maybe David isn't guilty. Maybe the Klondike bar was climbing the stairs to tempt you to break down and enjoy some chocolate covered carbs!

Thanks for the glimpses into your son's life and how you seem to take it in stride. My Alex is 12 years old and he'll probably be like your David. Every time I read a posting -- my thoughts are 'oh dear, that could be Alex!"

Evidently that Klondike bar wasn't within Lucy's reach !!

I was busy feeding your goddaughter's twin when Grandma asked me how long her 2 year old grandson had been sitting on the potty. probably about an hour less than that Klondike bar had been sitting out... but still...

maybe you should start praying for the safety of your Weedon grandchildren now, before they are born...

What David needs is a wife. As my wife could tell you, I now no longer forget anything, am completely organized, and would absolutely never do such a silly thing as you described (or like coming into the house five times to get what I left inside before going on a hospital call).
