Whew!

Long day at the hospital. Just got in. Jo's surgery was scheduled for 2:30 and she had to be there by 12:30. So we sit and wait and sit and wait. We even got in a full game of Liverpool - and I'm happy to report that *I* won! Rebekah asked: "How did that happen?" And then we waited some more. Cindi and Bekah left with Lauren for Chorale Practice (their big concert is tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Holy Cross - promises to feature some nice stuff from Messiah). Finally at 7 p.m. they arrived to wheel Jo off for surgery. Dave and I hit the Applebees for a bite of dinner and then returned to wait. After 9, the doc came in with good news: surgery went very well and he thinks she will see noticeable improvements in her arms and hands because the nerves were definitely being pinched but will not be any longer. Yeah! She's spending the night at the hospital and Dave is staying with her. Hopefully she'll be home tomorrow. Thanks to all for the prayers and concern you've shown.
