While understanding their reasons, I have always felt sorry for the Babe, presented naked while everyone around Him was warmly clothed.
I was glad to see a few artists dressed him!

Thank you for the video, Pr. Weedon.

Sounds too Roman Catholic to me.

Thanks for posting this. I have overlooked Praetorius this year for some reason.

Sorry, WW. I am not Anonymous. I just pushed the wrong button.

If you, especially around the Christmas season, like listening to Praetorius, who wrote polychoral motets like the evil Catholic composers Gabrieli and Monteverdi and did so (gasp) in Latin, ...you may just be a Romanist.

I think that Pr. McCain has requested that we report all would-be Romanists to him so that he may begin an inquisition. However, as he has already commented, I think that you have already been proscribed.

Chris,

I think you missed Pr. McCain's attempt at irony. He is a great lover of Praetorius' music.

Norman,

I actually have YOU to thank for the youtube videos. I always forgot to look there - but your postings reminded me that it is a good place to look for the music of our church. It's been a joy this Advent/Christmas season. Blessed Christmas to you and yours!

I am well aware of Pr. McCain's irony. However, from a blog of his not too long ago, his readers were told to essentially inform on those who would give too much praise to RCs, their Liturgy (particularly the extraordinary rite) and their praxis, in general. I was just taking the logical next step.

(Irony of course, intended throughout)

Chris is kind of cute though, when he gets all snippy.

ARe you hitting on me, Pr. McCain? :)

Don't flatter yourself, Chris.

But...you do seem to have this odd attraction to Lutheran blog sites. I think you really know it is time to take the journey to Wittenberg and ditch the whole EO schtick.

Pr. McCain,

I have an attraction to sites which interest me...nothing more.

And the EO is not a schtick for me; it is my home.
