I rang in 2008 by jumping into Lake Michigan at Bradley beach in Milwaukee. It was about 20 degrees out. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience. My brother in law, on the other hand has done this (in Door County, WI) 2 years in a row now. He's nuts.

And "Mrs. Clause" stayed safely behind the camera all bundled up toasty warm taking the necessary photographic evidence for the committment hearing.
