Back to Work!

And loving every minute of it, I must confess.  Today we had the two divine services and I did the Bible Class hour on the Convention and what it means for the future (near as we can figure out).  Then off to see Marlene at the hospital - she'd just undergone a second surgery - and the Dr. told the family he thought it went well. May the Lord grant her healing!  Great to catch up with Laverne and Duane for a few minutes too. Then home for some pool time with Cindi.  After sunning for a bit, we cleaned the pool and had to reset the salt-water filter - needed to add another bag of salt to the pool.  We bought a scrub brush that has done wonders for getting up the grime that collects at the bottom.  We had a lonely dinner (just the two of us - David and Bekah were working).  After dinner, Cindi decided to make a blackberry (thanks, Tom!) and peach cobbler for us and the same with a crisp and real sugar for the kids. Then an evening of reading some novels and planning for the upcoming week - which already looks packed to the gills.  Right now the absolute most appetizing feature of the coming week is recording an Issues, Etc. session on "God's Own Child."  LOVE that song!  It HAS to be the last hymn at my funeral.  But for now, time for night-night.  "The Lord almighty grant us a quiet night and peace at the last.  Amen!"

the lovely and gracious Laura will want to know in advance when you shall be heard on Issues this week (though your words make it sound like it won't be broadcast live).
