Forgive my quibble.

We pass that intersection all the time! We're heading to NoVa for a couple of days to take our kids to the zoo, the Mall, and some of the Memorials. My wife's grandmother lives off of Connecticut, so, like I said, we go by that intersection frequently. It's likely changed a bit. ;-)

And I'm still looking forward to what you have to share about Starke's paraphrase of the Te Deum.

JeremyJeremy Loeschnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291232.post-15409914979827913132010-09-21T07:27:14.686-05:002010-09-21T07:27:14.686-05:00If you're up in MD on Conn. and you just pass ...If you're up in MD on Conn. and you just pass Viers Mill, look up on your right and that's Brightview and THAT'S the block my beloved wife used to live on!William Weedonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01383850332591975790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291232.post-91017515653679975242010-09-21T06:44:46.931-05:002010-09-21T06:44:46.931-05:00I look forward to listening to it. But I still have a fondness for TLH's Matins version.

When I first read your post, I did have a quibble because it appeared to me that Rev. Starke himself wrote the Te Deum. Rev. Starke wrote a new version of it, but we still don't know who wrote this ancient hymn.

But that's a very minor quibble. As you wrote elsewhere, you might say, "What a wonderful forest!" To which I might respond, "That's not a forest. It's just a bunch of different trees."

Blessings! (Will be cruising up and down Connecticut Ave the next couple of days. Anything I should look for?) JeremyJeremy Loeschnoreply@blogger.com
