Only thing is, I can't do all the fancy swipe moves on the trackpad because mine only acknowledges two finger swipes.William Weedonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01383850332591975790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291232.post-46955750505935873932011-07-23T13:33:49.911-05:002011-07-23T13:33:49.911-05:00Thanks sam. I tend to do that, likely because of my paranoia about computers being obsolete (I don't like trading up every couple of years -- one reason I prefer Macs).David Garnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10885067733992577305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291232.post-74961551258708434972011-07-23T10:24:47.171-05:002011-07-23T10:24:47.171-05:00If you have a lot of concern for reliability... ma...If you have a lot of concern for reliability... make a bootable backup of your Hard Drive (all you need is a hard drive that is at least the same size as your internal drive and a program like Carbon Copy Cloner). This way... if you have any problems... you can simply roll back to the clone. Do make sure that you test the bootable backup to make sure it works.samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06583466460892038214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291232.post-20012229029313935932011-07-23T10:23:26.100-05:002011-07-23T10:23:26.100-05:00David I can virtually guarantee that you won't...David I can virtually guarantee that you won't have any problems with Lion based on those specs. I just installed it on a 2010 model year iMac and it runs great.samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06583466460892038214noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291232.post-32134170389640225292011-07-23T09:07:25.252-05:002011-07-23T09:07:25.252-05:00I had about an 8 year Mac holiday, so I'm fair...I had about an 8 year Mac holiday, so I'm fairly certain I don't have anything that won't run on it. I may give it a whirl. Keep us updated with how it's going. My only concern is I do a lot of music editing and video editing, so it absolutely has to run well.David Garnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10885067733992577305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291232.post-18035772160970902142011-07-23T08:40:20.850-05:002011-07-23T08:40:20.850-05:00David,

And it installed with no problem. Only thing to beware of is Rosetta is gone - so any legacy programs you were running will no longer work.William Weedonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01383850332591975790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291232.post-14435776362335455922011-07-23T08:33:59.290-05:002011-07-23T08:33:59.290-05:00I'm considering not installing Lion on my iMac...I'm considering not installing Lion on my iMac. I have a 3.06 Ghz Dual Core with 4 GB RAM. I'm afraid that will be marginal, so I'm probably sticking with Snow LeopardDavid Garnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10885067733992577305noreply@blogger.com
