The man is amazing. I am not familiar with the other two, though I suspect both are good. The Jesus Prayer is a wonderful gift.

There's a Lutheran book on the same that is rather hard to get hold of, but quite worth it if you can. It's called: "The Jesus Prayer" by Per-Olof Sjögren and was published by SPCK in London in 1975.

A classic Orthodox work on the topic of continual prayer is *The Way of a Pilgrim* and it is priceless.

Glad you are enjoying FATS (what an acronym!).

Pax!William Weedonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01383850332591975790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7291232.post-1136993529701850312006-01-11T09:32:00.000-06:002006-01-11T09:32:00.000-06:00I heard part of this on Ancient Faith Radio yester...I heard part of this on Ancient Faith Radio yesterday and loved it. Thanks for the link to a recording.

One more thing, a bit off topic. You are obviously well read in both Lutheran and EO theology. Could you recommend any books on prayer from either tradition? I've looked at these three books, but I don't know anything about them. Unfortunately I've not been able to find many Lutheran books on the subject. But I'm sure I'm not looking in the right places.

Also, once upon a time you recommended "For All the Saints" by the ALPB to me. I bought two volumes of it and it has been very helpful. Thank you.Jeremyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03594416310047914890noreply@blogger.com
