Hmm...I guess I missed the Tiger fan arrogance. Congrats to the Cards. You simply outplayed us, however, kudos to the young team we have that came from losing 119 games in 2003 to the World Series. We'll be back next year, thanks to the brilliant coaching of Jim Leyland. What a gracious man.
Enjoy your victory...but be sure YOU don't cross over to the arrogant side. ;)
LOL. What a hoot! Thanks for the congrats. You will be pleased to know that Lucy watched the last part of the game with us, and she also got into it, when we were hooping and hollaring by letting lose her own warbling bay.
Excellent words, Girliefriend. I *think* though that the intention was teasing, rather than serious on the part of Pastor McCain. No matter how deeply we feel about baseball, it remains in the end nothing but a game.
Ouch!!!! So soon after he heartbreak. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI love how arrogant the Tigers fans were. Pride goeth before the fall, and haughtiness before destruction.
ReplyDeletePoor Father DMJ.
It took some doing...BUT...it is scriptural, or "semi" scriptural anyway.
ReplyDeleteFrom THE MESSAGE (yes she cringes as she types it...)
God, smash their teeth to bits,
leave them toothless tigers. Psalm 58:6- The Message
Congratulations-be extra nice to Lucy!

ReplyDeleteFr. Dave,
ReplyDeleteBasketball? What is basketball???
Now if St. Louis is truly favored, it will be a year of "Go Rams!"
But I won't bother until I find out if they are WORTH cheering for this year. Grace does not operate in sports. : )
