that it is not nearly as easy to put the large Lenten cross up in the sanctuary at closing in on 50 as it was when I was closer to 30. Cindi would no doubt tell me it's because I'm not exercising as I should. The wretch.
And exercising is bad why? Didn't Jesus say something somewhere at sometime about, "When you exercise..."? ;-) Oh, sorry, it was St. Paul, who said physical exercise is of little value (oops, that was "Wild Bill" Schmelder's interpretation of that verse!) I'm so confused!
Who helped you do it this year?
ReplyDeleteGet more exercise. Lift some weights. You'll free great and you will be better able to take up your cross, etc.
ReplyDeleteA solution for the poor old Pastor: the cross gets proportionally smaller with each year that passes.
ReplyDeleteAm I a genius or what?
If he exercises anymore he'll just disappear.
