The radio station that... just a short month ago was soooo broke they had NO CHOICE but to fire two faithful servants has suddenly come into a new windfall of money!
That is the only obvious explanation... I mean... really.. these warm, loving, Christian men at Synod, BCS and KFUO could not possibly have in any way misled us, prevaricated or in any other way done something underhanded... misleading or dishonest... it has to be that... well.. they came into some money somehow..
Well, given the conflict in synod about the cancellation of Issues Etc., this is colossally stupid no matter if the cancellation was due to politics or not.
For those angry, I don't blame you. But as I've pointed out before, you knew this was the situation. It's like asking why they did it in the first place. You knew why. It's just that folks didn't like the answer.
If you're angry, forgive. And if you're angry, pray (Matt. 5.44: "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you"). And if you're angry, do what God has called you to do. Whatever that is. Anger is often a wasted emotion. Set about doing what God wants you to do.
Finally, the LCMS is not -- contrary to its name -- a church. Not the "church of Christ," or any church. It's a corporation. And ask yourself: why am I still associated with this corporation? If you are, that's your call. But leaving the LCMS is not leaving the church. Kieschnick and company represent the reality of the LCMS: confirmed in votes in 2001, 2004, and 2007. Don't imagine that you are the "real" LCMS. These people are. And they know. The bureaucrats aren't going anywhere. Count on it.
"What does this mean?"
ReplyDeleteLunacy: its sick.
It means we're led by liars and dishonest men who take their marching orders from the Kirkwood Kremlin.
ReplyDeleteI am fed up with this "church of Christ."
(Apologies to Pr Weedon...I needed to vent that. Feel free to delete this comment should you feel necessary)
You know, just when I think they can't be any less daft.
ReplyDeleteWow. I mean, just....wow.
Our synod leaders have more nerve than a bad tooth.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Holy Cow!! It's.... simply... amazing, astonishing, astounding, fantastic, fantastical, incredible, marvelous, phenomenal, prodigious, stupendous, unbelievable, wonderful, wondrous, miraculous!!!
ReplyDeleteGod DOES work in wonderous and mysterious ways!

Right? Am I right guys? Hello? uhm... wow
Matt B.

ReplyDeleteI think that we can stop asking the question "Why?" and start crying loudly CONFESS!
ReplyDeleteWell, this host will have to do his own producing...maybe that is their way of cutting budget.
ReplyDelete:P
Stupid is as stupid does. The purple palace has just presented the best refutation of works righteousness since "Hey, Eve, let me have a bite, too!"
ReplyDeleteThe bureaucrats form Synod better apply for this job because there is going to be a whole lot of them looking for work in a couple of years.
ReplyDeleteSay what? Is today April Fool's day or something? Oh, I have never been this disgusted in my life!
