I am glad we don't have ablaze up here in LCC. I mean we have our issues.....but Ablaze has never really been a factor up here. It has not been pushed (at least much) and is rarely mentioned - except when the LCMS President addressed our convention in June :-)
Hmmm... A thought-provoking or, perhaps, a fire-stoking ;-) rumination.
The introduction with the analogy of beer made think somewhat as well. I am not particularly inclined to beer (I prefer wines), but I wonder if Pr. Wilken has had(namebrand commercial)beer that is not made for the markets on this side of the Atlantic pond. As one who does not usually drink beer, I was particularly struck by the difference in taste between what I've had so far on this side of the pond and German beer I drank in Europe. The latter seemed good enough for me to have more of it than I would ordinarily have.

I don't know for sure, just a thought.

You just had to use that metaphor. ;-)
