  3. What setting of the Magnificat is being sung? I think this one didn't make it to LSB, but it should have!

I believe the Magnificat tune is the Scottish "Skye Boat Song." Beautiful!

  5. The setting is by David Haas. My congregation is adamant on using it. I strongly suggested that it be included in LSB, but the powers that be disagreed.

  6. According to a youtube post, the tune is Wild Mountain Thyme. BTW, is this a GIA publication? Can I get more info on it for our church choir?

  7. Yes, it's a GIA publication and yes to Wild Mountain Thyme. It's a great piece for choir and congregation - super descant line also.

You can download the music (and pay for it) here:

  8. Thanks for the info. Blessings to you this Lenten Season, and thank you for posting your Vespers service.

  9. Please post more of these services. I am in a wasteland. Our mid-week service lasted 34 minutes and not a single hymn of lent. Good thing I am a 5 minute walk from church for if I had a 10 minute drive I doubt I would waste the gas to attend. God have mercy.

  10. Our congregation is doing TLH Vespers this year. I'm loving every single minute of it.

(We're an LSB congregation that went from TLH straight to LSB, bypassing LW.)
