No New Momentous Number

but it's been a long time since I did a roll-call. How about it? If you've not introduced yourself before and you're a reader of the blog, please do so. If you HAVE introduced yourself before and would like to again, feel free to. As of this moment, the blog (since tracking began - which was AFTER I'd been blogging for some time because I needed my sister-in-law to show me how to figure it all out) has numbered 472,077 visits and some 964,510 page views. Who are you all?

Hey, this is Paula Kipp from St. Paul Lutheran in Hamel. So far I'm anonymous because I don't have a google account and don't know how to do it. Thanks for all you write about and tell us about.

  2. I would join Paula in thanking you, Fr. Weedon, for what you provide with your blog. Count me as one of your readers (as often as I can, anyway).

I'm Allan Kloess-Cross of Christ Lutheran Church, Desoto, Texas.
First heard you on Issues and then found your great blog. It has been most benificial to me. Our faithful Pastor, John De Young, did his field work at St. Paul's and has told me some great stories about his time there. i.e. rounding up a hog that was running loose on the Church property. Also, Pastor, thanks for sharing your wonderful family with us. God's blessing to you!

    Pastor Weedon,

I’ve been occasionally posting on Facebook, some of your comments and links from your blog, to about 20 of my Christian friends, most non-Lutheran. It’s been very thought provoking for some and encouraging for others.

Thank you much for spending time on your blog, Twitter, and Facebook. You are a real encouragement to me (former Baptist, became Lutheran in 2003) and I’m sure to many, many others.

    God’s richest blessings to you.

Tory W. Sumrall, Denton Texas. Missouri-Synod Lutheran turned Anglo-Catholic (ACNA). I've been reading your blog for a couple of years, starting when I was in the LCMS. This is one of the very few LCMS blogs I've kept reading after my conversion -- you stick to the Gospel, and leave the politics out. On a side note, I attended church camp when Pr. Erickson (Pampa TX) was a pastor in Clovis, New Mexico, and a camp pastor! ( I'm from Lubbock) It's a small world!

  31. In the musical"Fiddler on the Roof" song "If I Were a Rich Man", Tevye is sad that his long working hours prevent him from spending as much time in the synagogue as he would like, and that wealth would allow him to spend less time working and more time praying and studying his faith. Your blog, and programs like Issues, Etc. offer working people a wonderful opportunity for learning. Thanks from Bob Myers. I'm a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church (LCMS)in Pensacola, FL.

  34. Hi, Pastor Weedon. This is Allen Yount, pastor of St. John's Lutheran Church (MO Synod) in Yuma, Colorado (Yes, there's a Yuma, Colorado). I'm a 2005 graduate of Concordia Seminary St. Louis, and my field ed was at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive, IL, so I've driven past St. Paul's many, many Sundays. I don't know if you remember, but we met at a Lay Theological Conference last year when you were giving a presentation on "The Lamb at the Center of the Altar." I read your blog every day, which is truly edifying both for my ministry and for my devotional life. Thank you for what you share.
