Lectio Divina

Striking how St. Paul addresses the Corinthians and all of us:

"to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours."

What a great definition of the Church herself: the assembly of those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Also from todays Matin's reading - Although David has done nothing but good, Saul announces to Jonathan that as long as the son of Jesse lives, "neither you nor your kingdom will be established." So did Satan rage against a later day Son of Jesse and thought that only by his death would his own kingdom be secured. Big mistake...
