I cut and donated my very long hair to Locks of Love a few years ago. I found out afterwards that some of the hair collected from generous donors goes to making expensive hollywood wigs. They claim that much of the hair they receive is unusable and is sold. People with medical hair loss have to pay for the wigs, they are not free. Also, I was under the mistaken impression that my hair would possibly go to someone with cancer, however, Locks of Love only provides (for a price) wigs to people with permanent (or long term) hair loss, such as alopecia. All this is fine, as long as the hair donor knows this beforehand, which I and many others that I have spoken with have not.
Oh my goodness! Bekah looks so much older. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought my daughter Grace looked a lot older when she got her first haircut too...
ReplyDeletea month ago (at the age of 4).
No piercings on any sort though...
Hello Pastor Weeden.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the two times Morgana cut her hair and donated to one of those groups who make wigs for cancer patients.
Bekah is a lovely young lady.
Oh yeah, Morgana is getting married this November - I feel older.
Matt Heady
Bekah did donate it to Locks of Love!
