It SHOULD arrive tomorrow...The Lutheran Study Bible, that is. I've enjoyed perusing the PDF review copy, but am quite eager to get my hands on the thing itself. We'll see if my enthusiasm matches that of Prs. McCain and Harrison. I'm not known for getting excited about good books, though... LOL!
YOU, excited? No way! :)
ReplyDeleteExactly. I am quintessential laid back and dispassionate about everything...
ReplyDeleteOh Judas, if anything drives me nuts it's irony in an author.
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear this. We had quite a backlog of orders and it has taken a while to plow through them all.
ReplyDeleteAAAaaarrrggghh...I feel like I'm being punished for waiting to lead the congregation through their own orders of TLSB! But, a good number of people have made orders and we'll order at least one case of Bibles, plus a few large print ones.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get mine. Appreciated what Matt Harrison had to say, that when the Concordia Self-Study Bible came out, people were hungry for something of substance, even if it wasn't 'perfect'. There was a famine in the land.
And I'm very hopeful about this Bible.
Any pity available for one who waited to place an order with his church?
Jeremy
I should have had it last week, but we've been having no end of trouble with FEDEX, so they sent it back. Fortunately, CPH shipped out a new one and hopefully today or tomorrow for me!
ReplyDeleteJust got my notice today! It's on it's way.
