Just tell them you're a card carrying member of the NRA and that you believe the Bible is inspired by God and not to be taken as simple allegory. That and the collar should pretty much get you out of any jury duty. :)
Jury duty is avoided by almost everyone, so the ones there are the dregs.
If we were in the defendant's shoes, would we want our case judged by the dregs?
I encourage people -- especially thoughtful, intelligent people -- to do jury duty if they can. Sometimes all it takes is one juror who will take a stand to avoid a miscarriage of justice.

ReplyDeleteJust tell them you oppose capitol punishment and they will escort you out the door, buy you lunch, and give you a free ride home.

Right on Jim. It is a privilege to be asked to serve on a jury and offer the best of our abilities.
ReplyDeleteBeen asked to serve twice in Delaware yet have been dismissed from sitting on a jury.
I can't help but think that a jury would be lucky to have someone of your capabilities Will.
