puts on his shorts and a hoodie and his vibrams to go for a bike ride when it is barely 50 degrees outside just because the sun is shining brightly? Never mind, don't answer.
The bike ride at 50 degrees (or less) is done here, too, though not by me. It's easier to 'park' a bike on campus. But the "barefoot" running shoes...you ride a bike with them?
The road? Charlie, you are WAY behind the times. I only run on the road behind the school to get to the bike trail and then I run on that. I wouldn't even THINK of trying to run down frontage road.
I love an optimist!!
ReplyDeletePastor Weedon, you are turning way too much into Calvin's dad (from Calvin and Hobbes).
ReplyDeletePlenty of upper Midwestern people and Coloradoans do that regularly.
ReplyDeleteSounds good to this guy from Nevada! Where are we headed?
ReplyDeleteJust out of curiousity, are you that "idiot?" :)
ReplyDeleteA Minnesotan

Sure did, Helen. They're just comfortable. I ran today down to Hamel and back - 4.5 miles or so.
ReplyDeleteI think I've seen that same idiot run the road between Saint Paul's and the town of Hamel without a shirt when it's not much warmer.
ReplyDeleteAnd, trust me... no one needs to see that. ;-)
I DID toy with losing the shirt, but it was just a tad TOO cold. But it won't be long...
ReplyDeleteOy. I love Hamel, but that makes me glad (for the moment) that I don't live there.
ReplyDeleteKristi has said to me more than once, "Does he have to make us look at that?"
Hey, now. No one HAS to look. :)
ReplyDeleteYou want her to just drive off the road while she's going to school???

ReplyDeleteA Minnesotan indeed. When I lived there, one didn't bother wirh a light jacket until it was below freezing, or a coat until is was sub-zero!
ReplyDeletePastor Weedon,
ReplyDeleteLet us know how you are enjoying the Vibrams... and how they feel while running. I'm curious.
- Tim
Tim,
ReplyDeleteSo far, loving them. I ran 5 miles in them this a.m.
