brought to my door this afternoon:
This is a companion volume to Treasury with meditations on the New Testament readings for each day of the year. CPH just got them in! Hope folks find it to be a blessing indeed. It was certainly a joy to write a part of this.
A huge thanks to Pastor Scot Kinnaman for inviting me to write with the others on this project - and for his devoted work on Treasury and its supplements.
You can order here.
Pastor Weedon,
ReplyDeleteYour middle name is Chancellor? Cool.
Bethany Kilcrease
Yes, indeed. Name for my father's father: Chancellor Barbour Weedon. I'm glad I got his FIRST name as my MIDDLE name. It could have been worse. Much worse. :)
ReplyDeleteHe was a great old gent. I shudder to think what he'd say about watching me celebrate the holy mass, though. A thorough-going primitive Baptist he was. The former Synodical President's line about "this isn't your grandfather's church" always made me pucker my brow and say: "I'm not so sure it isn't..." LOL
On a random note, my middle name is Michele. I'm named after Michele Lee, an actress on the 1980s soap opera Knot's Landing. :)
ReplyDeleteBethany Michele Kilcrease
I'm afraid I don't know Michele Lee, but I'm sure since she was an actress she was sophisticated and talented, and so the name is appropriate for a scholar like yourself!
