We had an inch of snow this afternoon. It's been sleeting for the last hour or so. So weird - air temps are around 19. Guess we're going to get BOTH ice AND "snowmaggedon".
P.S. We got ice, then snow and a day off from school for all levels. I spent an hour watching the antics and accidents of others on the highways (while waiting for the word from the university). Then, because I had heeded the request to turn down the thermostat, I went back to bed.
I am among the fortunate who neither had frozen pipes or the "rolling blackout". So far.
P.P.S. The above written Feb 4. We got ours a little later than you did up there in the North. ;)
Dallas schools are out again today because of snow and ice. [That's four.] Even DFW airport was closed for awhile the other day, which is rare. But they hope to be in business for the Superbowl!
Snow is so wonderful and beautiful!! Plus, It is Dudly's favorite condition to play in!
ReplyDeleteDtr Mel says 12 inches in Normal on Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteOur weatherman threatens the "teens" Tuesday or Wednesday a.m. in central Texas. We pray they come without ice!
