Of course! A sick little one kept my eldest and her children from attending their congregation's Easter service last week, but they dressed up in their Easter finery and attended today. Dean's holding Evangeline with Flynn in front of him; Lauren's holding Felicity with Sawyer (oldest grandson) and Annabelle (oldest granddaughter) in front of her. Love these guys so much!
It's Eastern Orthodox Easter.

Indeed, "It's STILL Easter. The reality is, we never gather to worship without or apart from Easter.
ReplyDeleteSo true, and although I would not name Russian Orthodoxy an exemplary form of Christianity, the word for "Sunday" in Russian translates as "Resurrection," giving them a reminder of Easter every Sunday. Furthermore, and I am sure your thought includes that, whether we are gathered for worship on Sunday, or alone on a week day, in out hearts we bear the joy of Easter always.
