And even built in! Thanks to the fine craftsmanship of our friend Tom Mertz for building these lovely cases. I absolutely love them. And the room is so much more spacious now that all the books are in one large case and not in several smaller ones.
It looks wonderful! We have 15 bookcases. It would be nice to get rid of one or two but then we would have to find a place for photos and the other things on them. This is life.
Thanks, Nancy. I pared down my library ruthlessly a few years back when we Konmaried our whole house. I’ve had a few moments of regret, but nothing too terrible. The Lord blessed me with a memory that usually recalls what I read, so no need to keep the physical book, unless a certain Deaconess with whom I work (you know who you are, Lynn!) demands a citation. Then I’m in trouble. :)
My late sister and I used to torment each other with "If we could only keep 100 books...". Maybe 500. I can't always remember what I read but I can remember a certain feel about the book.
