So the person who welcomes a martyr in a martyr’s name, will receive a martyr’s reward. The welcoming of a martyr is to come together in his memory, to share the story of his contests, to marvel at what happened, to strive to imitate his virtue, to convey to others his brave deeds. These are the hosts’ gifts for the martyrs.
