Today I signed a contract for a book for CPH, currently entitled: *All About Jesus- a Lutheranism 101 Book.* Sigh. All about Jesus in 33-34,000 words. RIGHT. Uh-huh. Sure.
Well, it shall be a challenge, no question, and a lot of joy to boot - now, Lord, some spare time would be just peachy!
I look forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure spare time and blogging don't mix!
ReplyDeleteSounds like it should have been titled, Lutheranism 201 or Lutheranism 401 (master's level) :)
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a task, it took the Holy Spirit 66 books. :) Congratulations on the contract, we who read your blog appreciate your writing ability and your depth of knowledge.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Dan, Lutheranism 101
ReplyDeletesounds like milk of the Word for
rookies in the faith. Tell CPH it
is time for some meat of the Word
and Lutheranism 401 for those who
need a more challenging book.
There are some life-long Lutherans
who tell me they get the same
beginner courses from CPH over and
over. IT IS TIME for Chef Weedon to
prepare some tasty and filling meat.
"Lutheranism 401" - what an awesome idea.
ReplyDeleteWhatever it's called, I'll order on Day 1! (And make sure they put it on the Kindle!)
It'll be a slightly easier task for my book on baptism, but Luther did say you could talk about that for your whole life...
ReplyDeleteI think you guys are on to something. I'm hungry for more too from a learned teacher of Christ! Be to be honest, reading is one thing. And another thing to be Christ like in all that I say and do, remains a struggle.
ReplyDeleteHow about, "Jesus for Dummies"? :-)
