So David and I were talking about the trouble so many of his friends have with their parents - endless conflicts and arguments and constant misunderstandings. And he told me: "I tell them, I just don't get it. My parents are my friends." Is that cool or what? This week it was driven home to me how very blessed we are as a family, and I thank God for the joy and friendship we find in each other's company. It is surely an undeserved gift of God and to Him be the praise and thanks!

I had a similar moment when I read something my son wrote as part of some project. Under "Person I trust the most" he put, "My father."
Wow.....
Such joy.
And the other day he showed us something a friend has written on her blog site very negative about her parents. He was shocked and deeply offended.
Yes!
David truly is a treasure.
Yes, he is a treasure. But WHERE are you posting from. It says 4:58 so you can't be in Fort Wayne yet, can you? Did you find an internet Cafe along the road and eat dinner there?
Confirmation class went very well. In addition to the lesson spent some time rehearsing the Ten Commandments, the Creed, and the Jesus prayer. They need more work on the Creed, so we'll probably hit that hard over the next month, but you should do the same when you take over again.
I posted from Fort Wayne, but the time posted can't have been right. I don't think I posted that until at least 7 or 7:30 p.m.
