Well and goodly done, the craftsmanship,,, craftspersonship (?),,, is exquisite.
Did you try to nudge the idiom toward the Byzantine,,,,, even Eastern Rite Roman? One sees hints of it.

Just an obervational question, why such a fair skinned Jesus?

I have appreciated the eastern icons because I think they represent Jesus' appearance in a way that reflects his human descent.

Even so they are beautiful, very well done. A wonderful addition to St. Paul's! What happens now with the trinity hangings?

Maybe strike what I just said. I expanded the pics and he doesn't look quite so fair as I first thought.

Josh,

Actually the skin is dark toned. And I was adamant that our Lord NOT have blue eyes!!!

Fr. Hank,

I think the only nudge was the request for the nimbus. I was really shocked at the effect when they were put up in the sanctuary. Beautiful indeed, and the neat thing was that the artist succeeded in the "sad, but loving" eyes that seem typical of Byzantine art - but was not asked to do this!

I can't wait to see these murals next weekend.

What they need is a trim of gold paint as a border all the way around, to match the gold leaf that is in the chancel!
