Not only does it sound like something St Athanasius said, but like something St Irenaeus said, and something St Basil the Great said, and something St Maximos Confessor said, and a whole lot of things that St Symeon the New Theologian and St Gregory Palamas said.
That's the thing about these orthodox theologians: they just can't come up with any new ideas or original thoughts. They're stuck in that old-time religion.
Like Dr. Nagel once said when a friend asked if there were anything new or different in a class he was preparing to teach. His answer: "No, same old catholic and apostolic faith."
Piepkorn always told us that there really was nothing new, heresy-wise at least, since Arius. Simply repackaging the same old stuff. Korby's observation of the same was slightly more skatalogical.
