There are three books that CPH should be blushing in shame for not reprinting:
Ernst Koenker's *Worship in Word and Sacrament* (CPH 1959)
Richard Jungkuntz' *The Gospel of Baptism* (CPH 1968)
O. P. Kretzmann's *The Pilgrim* (CPH 1944)
If *I* worked there, these three volumes would be out on the shelves yesterday. So much golden insight in those pages - and a message that can't be outdated. But I don't work there. So if any of you CPH types are listening, give it a thought. You own the copyright on them - go for it!

What's so great about Jungkuntz, a man who favored priestitutes (according to Dr. Greg Jackson). By the way, Jungkuntz is an uncle of the WELS seminary president.
I agree with you on the other two. Abebooks has many a copy of "The Pilgrim", but no Koenker, though James Lee has a copy, which he's not giving up ever.
Are you confusing Richard with Theodore Jungkuntz? Richard used to be executive secretary for the CTCR; Theodore was a noted Charismatic.
Sorry, Fr. Weedon, no confusion. Here's a link: http://ichabodthegloryhasdeparted.blogspot.com/search/label/Jungkuntz
Dr. Jackson wrote on his blog today that he's going to be writing a review of von Schenk for Christian News. He says he hasn't read it yet, so he's not making any judgments on it yet.
Wow, Brian! I didn't know that. However, I'd still argue that his book on Baptism is fabulous and totally worth reading and pondering.
Same argument as with von Schenk I suppose. I have no problem with that!
I'm reading the Baptism book right now (in preparation for preaching on the Baptism of Christ).
I'll second the call to reprint those. I've been wanting a copy of The Pilgrim since Henry read it to us on choir tour my first year.
Brian,
Thanks for the tip about Abebooks... The Pilgrim is now en route to me.
These sound like excellent candidates for a major project on my goal list for the next year: complete a comprehensive survey of all of CPH's intellectual property for potential digitization. Remind me in a couple weeks, would you?
That's a great idea, Rev. McCain! What a blessing it would be if this idea comes to fruition!
