Well, I started on this project a couple days ago and it's finally done. I wanted to prove to myself that I am not a ninny and that I CAN upload a video to the net. Well, I was a ninny and required help from Pastor Lehmann and made numerous false starts. But the end result is here on Google videos:
Pentecost Divine Service

Nice job, Bill.
Techy questions-- are you using 2 or 3 cameras, and are they automated (i.e. zoom and angle remote controlled)? Just wondering on what is involved in "videoing" (is that a word???) Divine Service.
PS. I liked the sneakers on the one torch bearer. Makes me feel like I am in my Church LOL.

Thanks, John. The Church is video rigged. There are four cameras total, I believe. They are manned from the video board in the balcony. The service is also played on the video system of the church, so folks in the Narthex, in the basement, in the kitchen, can watch. Very helpful for when the little ones need attention!!!
Don't EVEN get me started on sneakers!!!!
Pax!
in your homily you said something like this:
"the Holy Spirit proceeds eternally from the Father resting eternally upon the Son"
any comments?
You mean is that a denial of what is confessed by filioque? No. It is an attempt to express what filioque also is intended to express: the Holy Spirit proceeds principally from the Father, with the Son participating in the procession. In other words, St. Maximos was, I believe, totally correct in understanding what the word filioque in the West sought to confess.
So when does Saint Paul's upgrade to PowerPoint hymnody?? heheheheheheheheh
LOL... just kiddn'
Thanks for the info.

You're not a ninny... at least not for any of those reasons you listed above. ;-)
