gets me so psyched for Advent/Christmas season as listening to the Praetorius' Mass for Christmas Morning. Glorious. Simply glorious. So many favorites in it: Christum, Wir Sollen Loben Schon; Jesaja Dem Propheten; In Dulci Jubilo (Alpha est et O!)...not to mention the chanting of the collect, the readings, the Our Father and the Verba. All a bit of heaven on earth.

Wonderful! We just had a special Sunday afternoon worship festival to give thanks to God for his gifts to the church in Hayden, Handel, and Mendelssohn. What a grand and glorious celebration! Our lovely organ, several other instruments, choir handbells plus congregatonal singing. And a full church. Very inspirational.
That is most certainly true. It's my Christmas Day listening pleasure.
Definitely! The Praetorius Christmas Mass is one of my all time favorites! Sometimes I play it during other seasons. (Shhh. Don't tell anyone.) :-)
PLUS, in addition to a great performance, its a great recording. It's my beef, I admit, but I'm perennially disappointed by the sonics of the "Lutheran" recordings out there.
You're all singin' my song! Devotees of this sort of recording should also take a look at this Amazon list:

Now that's how Lutheran music sounds! Too bad it's not done that way any more. A favorite CD of mine.
