what a joy it was to have Brother Michael Anderson and his wife join us on Sunday for the Divine Service and Bible Class. Dr. Anderson is a fellow member of the Society of St. Polycarp and an internet friend of many, many years.
Karen and I were blessed and thrilled to be shepherded for a day by Fr. William, side-by-side with his flock. The Divine Service strengthened mightily, and word "edifying" does no justice to the beautiful strains of Cantate Domino, which filled sanctuary and nave on Trinity X (this year, Visitation Sunday).
We enjoyed the Bible class commentary which followed, centering on the familial Table of Duties, as supported by writings from Proverbs. The gathered saints make a fine cup of coffee, and were a most congenial and engaging sort. Despite my wearing the shimmery summer whites with the obligatory bow tie (hand-tied, of course), no one ventured to wise-crack "Thanks again for the extra-crispy, Colonel, but next time easy on the spices" or even "Say ... didn't I see you falling from heaven, like lightning?"
In short, it was a memorable experience, and we thank Pr. Weedon for the chance to relive such again, through the means of those remarkable and moving videos. The blessed Holy Trinity, be ever praised!
