Catechesis: Confession

This regulation [Omnis utriuque] commands that we do the impossible—that we should confess all sins. However, it is clear that most sins we neither remember nor understand, according to Psalm 19:12, “Who can discern his errors?”—Ap XI:65

Dear Pastor Weedon, my comment is not about this post but about the Issues, Etc. from July of 2022 regarding praying the Psalms in a month. I am most likely a few years older than you and your wife but I have been praying the Psalms each month for about 20 years now. The way I divide them is simply five per day (except a couple extra on the 24rd and 25th so the 24th is reserved for Psalm 119). Sometimes I pray five at one sitting and sometimes it is two Psalms in the morning and 3 in the evening. I write you just to say that there are blessings beyond ability to express in this beautiful habit. The Psalms have not only shaped my prayers but also, shaped my life. Thank you for sharing on Issues, Etc. so that perhaps others will be encouraged to form such a habit.

God's blessings of peace and joy,
Sandra
