After Giving This Long and Serious Thought...

...I have decided that English Breakfast Tea is actually to be preferred rather than Irish Breakfast Tea.  It's the difference between excellent and very good.

I'm still an Earl Grey fan - but English breakfast is good stuff.

That's it, you are no longer my friend.

May God bless those who bless you, and may he turn the hearts of those who don't, and if he can't turn their hearts, may He turn their ankles, so we know them by their limp.

Earl Grey = the smell of handiwipes. That oil of bergamot...

Is it okay to drink English (or Irish) tea post meridian?

What, don't they sell Darjeeling in Southern Illinois?! Or Ceylon? Or any of the countless fine green and white teas. As I once told Pr. McCain on his blog, a billion Chinese and not many fewer Indians can't be wrong.

The English and the Irish drink large quantities of tea, but most of them know very little about good tea or how to make it.

It is hard to choose between the two, as they are rather differently drunk. Are you enjoying the Irish as it customarily is with a bit of milk? (And yes, it can be enjoyed all day.)

As for Earl Grey, I know that you have had some questionable preferences in the past (I mean, boxed wine?!), but here we must part ways as you disparage such a fine, fine brew!

Not just ANY boxed wine. FINE boxed wine. I would never stoop to drink anything less than a fine Franzia from a box. Give me a little credit. ;)
