Old Lutheran Quote of the Day

Let us not be so foolish as to surrender ourselves to anxiety. Let us, instead, recognize that, next to the Word of God, we have, in prayer, an almighty and unconquerable weapon. -- C. F. W. Walther, *God Grant It!* p. 70.

I use to be anxious to the point of being sleepless about motions in voter's meetings. Always seems like ...

I was pointed to:

Psalms 121. Remember: you sleep while Christ keeps watch.

Remember Luther to Melanchthon, “With your worries, you give weapons to Satan.” Let’s you and I take away his weapons, ay, and then get some good sleep.

As Psalm 23 says, "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies", so let's eat, remain steadfast, receive the overflowing joy of the Lord, and watch our Lord conquer the enemy.

Thanks, now I have something from Walther.
