If the Church is to survive, Christians must come together to study God’s Word, pray jointly, offer praise and thanks to God, and use the holy Sacraments in common. If Christian did not do this, they would despise the Word and Sacraments, which alone sanctify them, and they could not obtain the promise of Christ: “For where two or three are gathered in My name, there am I among them.” (Matt 18:20).—C.
