Patristic Quote for the Day

And we too are all saved by grace... The grace then that is with us is not like theirs (i.e., of the OT). For not only was pardon of sins given to us (since this we have in common with them, for all have sinned), but righteousness also, and sanctification,, and sonship, and the gift of the Spirit far more glorious and more abundant. By this grace we have become the beloved of God, no longer servants, but as sons and friends. - St. John Chrysostom, Homily XIV on John 1

Such a marvelous thing, God's grace in Christ!

And I get to speak briefly following the Gospel on this Pharisee and Publican Sunday to the children "3-93"

Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, a sinner.

How positively ghastly to exclude those younger than 3 and older than 93, though! ;)

Well, if those 0-2.9 year olds are unable to discern the Word's Body and Blood, why should they be expected to understand the Word when spoken to them. They can listen when the reach the age of discernment... :)
