And That's a Wrap
After services and Bible class today, we went to a (delayed) confirmation dinner for three of the confirmands from Palm Sunday; went shopping to pick up a couple things (including some flowers for our beautiful daughter's last performance); attended Suessical one more time; had steaks and burgers on the grill (it was in the 60's and sunny!); did a couple rounds of Liverpool with Dave, Bekah, Andy, and Cindi (while David was keeping the world safe - he's a complete WOW addict); and then I went to work on stuff for this coming week (which promises to be completely and utterly PACKED). Grr. SOMETIME this month I need to write the paper I'm to deliver in Hutchinson, KS next month for the Lectures on Lutheranism, and sometime this week I need to pick up a suitable birthday gift for my dear wife, who will be - as someone in Bible class said - 4 dozen this coming Saturday (how on earth did my wife end up getting so old???). Now, it's to bed!

Your wife is just trying to keep up with you, but she'll never quite catch you.
oh yeah, one of my friends came back from break and asked what your name was...she said she saw a poster for you when she was home (in Kansas)
So, how was it sleeping on the couch after calling your wife "so old"? ;-)
Fr. Asburry...
Couch? You assume she let him have the comfort of the couch : ) I was wondering how the garage floor felt, the dog house or some other equally punitive location : )

Pastor Weedon,
This is off-topic but I ran across this while browsing this morning and thought you may find it interesting if you haven't seen it before. It's from a 1934 edition of Time magazine:
Lutheran Liturgists
Brian
well...she may be older
but at least she looks younger!
(you look like you need a senior citizen discount, hehehe)
Careful what you call "old" pardner.
4 dozen ain't old. Nicely middle age.
