Those who have been reconciled to God through faith for the sake of the Mediator are endowed with the Holy Spirit, who renews them. And in this incipient newness there is in this life some degree of good conscience for the regenerate, namely, that they present their members to God as instruments for righteousness and do not grant entrance either to errors contrary to the foundations of the faith or to sins against conscience.
