Where is there a person who leads such a life in love? There is no one. Only Christ lived, suffered, and died in this manner, not for Himself, but because of His love for sinners. True Christians, in whom Jesus lives, make a beginning of such love, but they never bring it to perfection. It is, therefore, evil delusion when a person thinks he is able to justify himself before God and make himself holy by the fulfillment of the commandment to love the neighbor.—C. F. W.
