You know...

...there really IS a difference in coffee made in the french press. David gave me one for Christmas and I've been putting it to good use. I usually make up a batch in the afternoon and it is doubtlessly the best tasting coffee of the day.

Agreed. That is until I get one of these:

Oh...it's hard to beat a good cup of coffee in the afternoon. Do you have a favorite coffee? My husband and I love the Mocha Java blend and I especially enjoy Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.

Ok. I'll bite. Please compare and contrast drip to French press. I'm curious.

You should try brewing it cold in the french press. 12 hours and you have a concentrate. Then you add hot water or milk. It is the best coffee ever.

I'll have to bring some freshly roasted beans one of these days for you to try (if I can make it out to visit Hamel again... maybe Lent). Roasting your own brings it up one more notch. Pastor Sharp is right... cold brew is even better (less acid).

Oh, a factoid, I think you'd appreciate: the lighter the roast the MORE caffeine.
