This is over a decade late, but curious if you have an exact citation for this quote? I see Chemnitz and other reformers (e.g. John Jewel) use this quote multiple times with the same Latin wording but I can't find it in Jerome's Commentary on Galatians 1.
It’s cited by Gerhard in his Locus on the Church (p. 222) in the English version, but sadly no further reference is given. Have you checked Migne for this?
