The Perfect November Day

The rain striking the window, the last of the leaves being washed out of the trees, gray and drear, a candle burning and the sound of Christmas music (I listen to it year around, I'm afraid). No one home but me and Lucy (and she sound asleep, curled up on the couch). This is November as it should be.

Sounds fantastic. It's quite nice here (75 degrees and sunny), but it doesn't feel like November.

Yup, that's November alright.

YUCK!

I wish I lived where it is summer year 'round. I woud not miss the other seasons.

Want to trade, Anastasia? I, on the other hand, would be quite thrilled to have more seasons than "summer" and "somewhat chilly".

It does sound like a perfect day.

Here in the Northern Plains it was sunny and nearly 60...way too warm for November. But it gave me a chance to finish some yard work.

While driving to the city compost drop off with a car full of leaves, I noticed that TWO radio stations in town have set aside their regular formats and are already playing Christmas music.

Somehow, I don't think "Jingle Bell Rock" was part of your listing today, like it was mine.

Sure, Maria, if you're in *south* Florida!

Nope, north. Which is why I added the "somewhat chilly" instead of "summer, all the time". ;-)
