What? No crucifix on the altar? You call yourself a confessional Lutheran? Or am I just blind and I can't see it?
Actually, I just call myself a Lutheran. But no, sadly, the new Church has no crucifix upon the altar and never has; there was one in the old Church, and I've not been able to discover what became of it. We do, often during Lent, have an icon of the crucifixion that hangs before the Lectern.
Given the history of Lutheranism I think it best to identify one’s self as confessional. No?
